64 – Siem Reap – Angkor Wat (Chapter 2)

October 28 – 29

Apparently, according to TripAdvisor, apart from playing Lara Croft among the Khmer ruins, the best thing to do in Siem Reap is the friday night pub-crawl. I give it a try, mainly because it’s a date with a former university friend of mine who now lives here. If you are around 20 you may be under impression that playing drinking games with pink and turquoise shots is a great night out, but I am too old for this shit, and I prefer to cause myself a hangover with something slightly better than sweetened cheap alcohol of uncertain provenance. The next day is lazy and involves a lot of relax by the pool, chatting to the owner of the hotel, who speaks french even when he thinks he’s speaking english, and playing with the hotel’s three cute puppies called A, B and C (although I am not sure which is which).

Day 2: A mixture of mostly unsuccessful attempts of artistic achievement and holiday shots. If you are not able to distinguish between the photos, don’t worry, I’m not either.
